About Us

We are the Australian arm of Harper Voyager and we publish fantastic speculative fiction! Witches and wizards and enchanters and things that go bump in the night, not to mention airships and kings and queens and angry gods and the occasional hobbit!

Mission
To drop the one ring into the fire before heading back to the couch to read a good book.

Lynne Lumsden Green: the Voyager Science Queen.

I have completed both a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (University of Queensland) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing (started at the University of Queensland and completed at the University of the Sunshine Coast). Economically, this means very little, however I get to understand and laugh at a lot more science and literary humour – oh, and bragging rights. More importantly, I own a huge curiosity bump and suffer from the burning need to scratch it, and I am happy to share all the weird and wonderful science discoveries with the world. I have been writing the Science Page for over ten years. Please feel free to send me any questions via this site (Yes, I will accept bribes of chocolate). On a more literary note, I love to write Fantasy and Science Fiction stories both long and short, and I have had short stories published in several anthologies. My favourite authors are Isaac Asimov, Neil Gaiman, Diana Wynne Jones, Anne McCaffrey and the entire team of Voyager authors.

Melanie Saward is a Brisbane-based writer, editor, geek and cosplayer. Her stories have been published in From Stage Door Shadows, URL Love, Corrupted Classics, the 100 Stories for Queensland anthology, Ricochet Mag and the first issue of Rex, an anthology of writing from QUT.
