Buffy Spin-offs
SPOILER WARNING! SPOILER WARNING!

A new spin-off set in Buffyverse after the conclusion of BtVS is increasingly unlikely... at least in the short-term. The gals (Gellar, Hannigan and Trachtenburg) are all looking to pursue careers on the big screen. The lads are being scooped up by WB's Angel (assuming it continues on to a fifth season). James Marsters (Spike) and Anthony Stewart Head (Giles) have both been approached about joining the Angel cast. No firm news on what Nicholas Brendan (Xander) may get up to. Read the article on CHUD (but be wary towards the bottom of the article as there are some MAJOR spoilers for the Angel finale). Other links are TVTome and SciFiWire (read at your own risk -- there may well be spoilers in here).

The Golden Raspberries (Razzies) Awards.

Thanks to Phantophile WILLANDRA for the heads-up on this news item:

Swept Away won worst remake, worst actress (Madonna), worst director (Guy Ritchie), and worst onscreen couple (Madonna and Adriano Gianni).

Madonna also won the worst supporting actress category for Die Another Day. She now has five worst actress Razzies.

She had to share this year's worst actress Razzie with Britney Spears who earned hers for her performance in Crossroads. Spears also took out the worst original song trophy for Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman.

Attack Of The Clones won worst supporting actor for Hayden Christensen, and worst screenplay for George Lucas.

Worst Actor went to Roberto Benigni, for his performance in Pinocchio.

The Matrix Reloaded stuff

AICN have gathered together some links for new stuff for Reloaded. Check it out here. In related news Dark Horizons has pics of the movie posters up.

James Cameron stuff
And while you're over at AICN check out Harry's report on the latest doings of James Cameron. Possibilities of 3D movies (yay!) and another Alien flick. The full scoop is here.

King Kong and Jackson
Peter Jackson's next project will be a remake of King Kong which will be shot in New Zealand. Shooting is set to start towards the middle of next year. See SciFiWire for the full article.
