| TIME/SPACE CONTINUUM GLOSSARY |
Time symmetric being reversible, and being easier to see and interpret
by a psychic.
Time Asymmetrical being irreversible not as easily perceived or understood
psychically.
Relativity - E=mc squared. E= energy
m=mass c = the speed of light. Energy = mass speed of light squared.
This formula shows that a small mass can be converted into a huge amount
of energy. Hence all matter is frozen energy.
Entropy - From the Greek meaning
En (in) Trope (turning)
The transition of Order to Disorder.
Chaos - Where apparently random
behaviour is riled by deterministic laws.
Quantum Mechanics - The laws governing
the worlds of atoms and molecules.
Gravitational field - distorts
both time and space in its vicinity.
If the gravitation field is strong enough, time will effectively stand
still, as would a clock if it where travelling at light speed. A clock
in a strong gravitational field runs slow.
Light-speed 186,000 miles (about 300,000 km) per second.
Photon power - Light speed = photon
power. The light spectrum extends from radio waves of very
low frequency to gamma rays from radioactive substances. These are of
very high frequency or length and dangerous to living things. Within
this narrow part of the spectrum, light varies in
colour depending on the frequency or length of the waves - (e.g. Red
- low to Purple - high).
Electromagnetic radiation at any frequency can be thought of as consisting
of discrete photons.
High Speed Particle Acceleration at a point were it exceeds a certain
speed - time reverses.
(See - Quantum Mechanics)
Anti-matter - In the world of matter,
each particle has a corresponding anti-particle. When one particle
collides with its anti-particle both are annihilated, leaving only a
discharge of energy in the form of a gamma ray.
Black Holes - A spherical region
of space, which contains a gigantic gravitational field. The field is
so large that everything on its surface is sucked into it, including
light. Caused by a star collapsing under it's own gravitational force,
to such an extent that its gravitational field prevents any matter,
light or other electromagnetic radiation leaving the region. Where enough
matter is gathered in one place, gravity becomes the ultimate irresistible
force, crushing the matter down into a literal point, a mathematical
singularity, and crushing with it the fabric of space-time. Inside a
black hole, time and space as we know them cease to exist.
White Holes - Opposite to a Black
Hole. Where matter disappears into a Black Hole and is therefore forced
out of our universe, matter pours out of a white hole - a comic gusher.
Possibly a system that absorbs matter, reorganizes it and then returns
it to the universe.
Worm holes - Openings in space
that connect either to remote regions in one particular universe, or
one universe with a parallel universe. Points at where energy leaks
from one universe to another. These arise inside black holes, and come
in all shapes and sizes.
The Three Arrows of Time
1) The thermodynamic arrow - the direction of time in which disorder
and entropy increases.
2) The Psychological arrow - the direction in which we feel time passes.
3) The Cosmological arrow - the direction of time in which the universe
is expanding rather than contracting.
Time Warp - Synonymous with Black
Holes. An imaginary distortion or interruption in the flow of time from
past to future.
Time Loop - Journeys that loop
from present to future and then backward to the present, or journeys
that start in the present and go back in time and then return to the
present.
Time Slip - Pertains to certain
locations in the universe and indeed our planet where the connection
between inner time and outer time is tenuous. At these places the veil
between worlds is thin, and therefore more easily penetrated from the
other side. 'Power centres - Ley lines. Hot Spots.'
Time Capsules - E.G. The Rollright
stones, appeared to enclose natural force fields at the time of the
equinoxes, in March and October, the stones emitted regular ultrasonic
signals, regardless of weather conditions. On the solstices the signals
fade away. Indicates a relationship between geological fault lines,
the sites of these circles and electromagnetic radiation.
