GLOSSARY OF TERMS

AKASA: Aether - the ether of Science, the fifth element. Vital Life Force.

AKASHIC RECORDS: Akasha = primary subtance from which all things' are formed. Ethereal records that store attitudes emotions and concepts from the mental mind of the universe from one end of time to the other.

LOKA: Place, world, sphere or plane.
Rupa Lokas: - material worlds
Arupa Lokas: - spiritual spheres

TALA: 'Inferior world' every Loka has a Tala.

ATMAN: The permeate self - the higher self.

ATOM: The ultimate material of matter.

MONAD: The ultimate material of energy. Divine spirit life atoms.

AVICHI: Density - the eighth sphere.

DEVA: Beings of a different evolutionary chain to man. Various classes of nature spirits and elementals.

DEVACHAN: The state between incarnations where the human soul-mind finds his repose, where aspirations and talents from the previous incarnation are realised and perfected in preparation for the next incarnation.

DHYAN CHOHANS: The Lords of meditation. Planetary spirits that guide the evolution of the planet. Man in his higher Nature is a embryo Dhyan Chohan. Man was born from them, we are the monads, atoms, and souls projected forth from them.

FOHAT: Cosmic will - vital force of the universe.

KULPA: 1 day of Brahma

KAMA: = desire. Kamadeva = desire elemental

LAYA CENTRE: 'point of disappearance'

LIPIKAS: Karmic recorders and annalists - celestial scribes

LOGOS: There are different grades of Logoi, some divine and some spiritual in character. Some Logoi have
cosmic range others are more restricted. Every individual entity in manifestation has its own Logos. The divine entity behind the sun is the Solar Logos of our Star System.

MAYA: the objective universe

MOKSHA: to be released from material existence to become a dhyan-chohan

MUSIC OF THE SPHERES: the note each atom sings in accordance with its vibration and movement, that adds to the symphony of the cosmos.

PLANETARY CHAIN: the seven-fold constitution of all the bodies in the universe - be they planet, moon, comet, nebulae, man.

HINDU TRIAD:
Brahma: the emanator or the evolver
Vishnu: the sustainer or preserver
Siva: the beneficent or regenerator

PRALAYA: the death of one life-cycle to be followed by another.

SAKTI: feminine aspect of Fohat, feminine influences and Energies.

THREE QUALITIES:
Sattva: truth, goodness, reality, purity.
Rajas: longing, passion, activity.
Tamas: quiescence, passivity.

THE SILENT WATCHER: the Supreme Being of a spiritual hierarchy, the Logos.

SKANDHA(S): 'Bundles' or groups of attributes, carried and perfected from life to life. 'Moral qualities'

SEVEN PLANES OF EXSITENCE/expression/demonstration:

7. God consciousness

THE ETHERIC WORLD: The overall picture of invisible space. The atmosphere that contains all seven levels of energies (planes), with their functions and life forms. The Otherworld.

THE SEVEN BODIES OF MAN:

1. Physical Body + the Etheric Double

THE ETHERIC DOUBLE: an invisible electromagnetic field that interpenetrates everything in the universe, from the atom to the great central sun. This field absorbs emanations from each thing forming a
pattern for its future existence. The Aura. The Matrix.

VAHANA: A vehicle or carrier enabling an entity to manifest on planes or spheres inferior to its own.
